The map above was created using DEM and raster data provided. This data was manipulated with the use of arc tools until the final product was made. I created a model which can be re-used for future Swiss hill shade effects to show elevation. I had trouble with the color ramp, choosing the right colors in the right order to provide a visually appealing elevation contrast.
This map shows the most likely approximated paths which First Nations could used as trade routes. These routes were created based off the assumption the routes would follow the least cost paths, low elevation change and streams nearby. The model below was used to create these paths, every yellow square is a tool which had to have the parameters adjusted. The model also took an extensive amount of time to run once created. I had troubled throughout this project with the model and after re-doing it multiple times I was successful.
